Update on work arrangements (24 November 2020) (只有英文版)

24.11.2020  11:33

In view of the recent blast of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, to safeguard the safety of the University community, the University has decided to adopt special work arrangements starting from Thursday 26 November 2020 until further notice, while maintaining essential services of departments/offices/units.

Heads of departments/offices/units may exercise discretion in making work arrangements according to job duties of their units as appropriate, including arranging colleagues to work from home by rotation, implementing flexible or staggered working and lunch hours, and in consideration of the personal circumstances of individual colleagues, such as those who are pregnant, with chronic illness, or living in a building with confirmed case(s).

The current hybrid teaching mode will remain unchanged. Teaching colleagues should conduct classes at designated teaching venues on campus and time-slots according to the timetable, and broadcast the lessons online simultaneously. Students can choose to attend either face-to-face or real-time online classes.

Please use the 24-hour Campus Security hotline (2616 8000) to report to the University immediately in the following instances:

  • You are confirmed to have COVID-19;
  • You are required to undergo mandatory quarantine;
  • You are or have been in close contact with a person in the last 14 days who is confirmed COVID-19 positive, undergoing mandatory quarantine or taking the COVID-19 virus test as required by the Centre for Health Protection.
  •
    You should NOT come to the campus if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, or are waiting for COVID-19 test results.

    The University will continue to monitor the situation closely and adopt all precautionary measures necessary to maintain safety on our campus.
