Update on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Preventive Measures (20 May 2020) (只有英文版)
HSE Committee would like to update colleagues and students on the following:
In view of the three local cluster cases in Hong Kong last week, the HKSAR Government adopted the 'suppress and lift' strategy to contain the epidemic and the impending school resumption. The social distancing measures will be maintained and extended with refinements under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (the Regulation) (Cap. 599F) and the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G) by 14 days till 4 June 2020. For details of the regulation and the latest direction, please visit the press release of HKSAR at:
The Committee strongly advises all stakeholders to maintain at all times strict personal and environmental hygiene, wear masks, reduce the frequency of visiting and time staying at common facilities, maintain an appropriate social distance with other people as far as possible in daily lives and avoid meal gatherings or any other activities which cannot wear a mask. All stakeholders should also perform hand hygiene frequently, especially before touching the mouth, nose or eyes.
